PIONEERING WOUNDCARE
KLINION L-Mesitran is a pioneering product range, based on Medical Grade Honey and available worldwide since 2002 with excel lent clinical results.
These advanced wound care dressings were the first to receive the CE mark and FDA approval. They have been used on a variety of severe wounds, including antibiotic resistant (MRSA) infected wounds.
Antibacterial activity (incl. MRSA)
Test results show that the most common wound bacteria will be killed within 24-48 hours. The antibacterial activity of L-Mesitran is based on its high osmolarity, its low pH and the ability to produce hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).
Debrides and reduces malodour
Osmosis encourages lymphatic fluids to flow to devitalized tissue in the wound bed, debriding the wound. Bacteria preferably metabolize the glucose in honey to lactic acid (odourless), instead of amino acids from the wound bed into malodorous (sulphur/ammonia) compounds. The removal of malodour is quick and immediately enhances the quality of life of the patients.
Anti-inflammatory
Prolonged inflammation is associated with delayed wound healing. Honey changes the wound bed environment posi- tively and surpresses bacterial and other particles present in the wound bed that induce inflammation. Honey ‘scavenges’ the free oxygen radicals by functioning as an anti-oxidant.
Stimulates wound healing, less scarring
KLINION L-Mesitran promotes new tissue regeneration and healing. The unique ability to stimulate angiogenesis is important for treating delayed (chronic) wounds. L-Mesitran supplies nutrients to the wound bed, aiding in speeding up the healing process. It also creates a moist wound healing environment, important to minimize scarring
Easy to apply, safe to use and cost effective
To date no adverse effects have been reported. The products are easy to apply with maximum patient comfort. Because only small amounts of product are necessary for an optimum effect, the products contribute to a cost effective approach in wound management.
KLINION L-Mesitran available immediately in different format OINTMENT, GEL, TULE, HYDRO, BORDER, ACTIVE, NET is used by professionals from superficial to extremely severe chronic wounds

ReSkin SILICONE SKIN TECHNOLOGY

SPYCRA PROTECT
Sterile, soft , silicone adhesive wound dressing with “ReSkin Silicone Skin Technology”
Spycra Protect is a soft, one-sided silicone adhesive dressing. Spycra Protect is a bi-elastic dressing; elastic in both directions – in the length and in the width -, can be repositioned and has rounded edges to stay better in place. The bi-elasticity diminishes the effects of friction preventing the appearance of skin lesions in case of fragile skin (prevention of skin tears, scratch wounds,…)or in case of skin@risk (prevention of blistering when walking, running, ….) The wide scaled pore structure of the dressing allows the dressing to breath and supports an optimal wound healing process based on the principle of moist wound healing. Top layer of lycra fibers, giving the dressing a silken-like look. Does not absorb.

SPYCRA CONTACT
Elastic, one-sided silicone adhesive wound contact layer with self-adhering properties made of soft and flexible polyamide fibers. Elastic, repositionable and rounded edges to stay better in place.
When being used on exuding wounds, the wide scaled pore structure of the wound contact layer allows an optimal vertical migration of wound fluid towards an absorbent secondary dressing. Does not absorb.
